Stones and heirlooms
Heirloom stones, reset into something you will wear
Inherited diamonds and gemstones are regularly reset into new designs, with the history of the piece kept intact. A reference photograph works as a starting point too: the design is then refined for structure, durability and originality rather than copied outright.
Because the work happens on the bench in Honolulu, the design can still be adjusted while the piece is being made. Nothing is sent off island.

Steve is a graduate gemologist trained in gemology, jewelry manufacturing, design and appraisal. Every custom piece is made in Honolulu rather than sent away.

How long does custom design take?
Timelines vary with the complexity of the piece and with stone sourcing. You get a clear production estimate during the consultation.
Can you recreate a piece from a photo?
A reference image makes a good starting point. The design is then refined for proper structure, durability and originality rather than copied.
